前言

Sulu: Yes, sir?
Spock: The argument you're employing, Helmsman, is not logical.
In fact, it exhibits the fallacy of Ignoratio Elenchi, also known as the irrelevant conclusion.Crew A: The argument seems to make sense.
Spock: That may be so, Lieutenant, but the form of the argument is invalid.
Mr. Sulu's argument exhibits the fallacy of attempting to prove a conclusion that is not pertinent and quite different from the intended or required conclusion.
A valid argument is one in which a number of premise statements are presented that support the acceptance of a conclusion statement.
Helmsman, your argument was invalid because your premises were irrelevant to your conclusion.Crew A: Thank you, Mr. Spock.
Sulu: Yes. I should rethink what I'm trying to say.
Spock: That would be best.
Even if an argument seems to make sense, it cannot be valid unless the form is valid and that it does not exhibit one of the logical fallacies such as Ignoratio Elenchi, the irrelevant conclusion.
It's only logical.
