白如霜，红似火，院里花开千百朵。

尽力栽培小树苗，但愿将来多结果。

夏日米蕉生后院，秋天硕果落前庭。

甘霖滋润地瓜叶，一树柠檬色尚青。

Many of the roses in my garden

Still are blooming at the turn o'th' season.

Are the sweet potato leaves and citrus.

After harvesting the small bananas,

I'm surprised to see the big feijoas.

They are not the fruits of my own labor,

Others planted the trees sometime prior.
