The Strategic Gamble: Why MyGO!!!!! is Leaving the Original Game
One of the most controversial aspects of the split is the "migration" of MyGO!!!!!. While they will still appear as "cameos" in shared locations like the school or Live House RiNG within Girls Band Party!, they will no longer receive dedicated events or card updates in the old game. Chief Producer Yuki Nemoto explained in an open letter that the narrative link between MyGO!!!!! and Ave Mujica is so tight that they require an independent system to flourish.
"With the band count increasing, the story update cycle for GBP has lengthened significantly, making it difficult to maintain the narrative density each band deserves," Nemoto stated.
Industry analysts suggest this is a calculated move to combat the "growth bottleneck" of the decade-old GBP. By tethering the high-popularity MyGO!!!!! and Ave Mujica to the new Our Notes title, Bushiroad is essentially "forcing" the fanbase to migrate or support both games. It is a high-risk gamble to bypass the aging technical limitations of the original game engine.
Furthermore, the new game will be deeply integrated with the upcoming summer 2026 anime, BanG Dream! Yume ∞ Mita, and the massive joint live concert between MyGO!!!!! and Ave Mujica scheduled for March 2026. This synergy aims to create an immersive "ecosystem" that the original game, burdened by years of legacy code and hundreds of existing cards, could no longer support effectively.
