Halloween Night
While the community was quiet at night, I walked by the river as I used to. The water moved slowly as if it were remembering something.
This weekend is Halloween, and the city feels calmer than it has in the past couple years. There were no community events, no shopping promotions. Not even the usual sounds of children knocking on doors, playing tricks when they didn't get candy could be heard this year.
Everything just felt quieter and calmer even than a normal weekend. In a city as vast as this one, it was as if Halloween had never been noticed at all. People seems tired, and there only remains a heavy calm.
