HG Wells was a member of the Fabian Society for several years but then left in a bit of a huff over a number of disagreements with key members. This is why George Bernard Shaw depicted Wells as a fool in his design of the Fabian Window (which I have taken @ConceptualJames to see in person at the London School of Economics(@glennbeck as well but the two women attending the library would not allow Glenn to enter)).

-In 1919, Progressive Baptist Minister Samuel Zane Batten published "The New World Order" in which he proposed world socialism under the social/progressive "gospel." Batten was also a member of the Brotherhood of the Kingdom with fellow social gospel advocate Walter Rauschenbusch - who was heavily influenced by the Fabians. You will find many of the concepts of the WEF's "The Role of Religion" were sourced from Batten and Rauschenbusch (along with Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, Jacques Maritain, and Dom Helder Camara)
