Can such self-deceptive tricks convince the public?

I heard this election didn't even have an opponent; he was declared the winner directly. I just want to ask: if the primary ends with 60% of the vote, why set up a final election in the first place? Isn't this blatantly an attempt to allow those in power to evade risk and debate? Can such self-deceptive tricks convince the public? #Sikyong #tibet
