Master Cursed Energy At Jujutsu High Peak In Free Fire Strategy Guide

The Bermuda map we know and love has just changed forever. As of today, January 14, 2026, the central landmark of the map—Peak—has been completely overhauled. It is no longer just a few broken houses and a large manor; it has transformed into a "Jujutsu High" style compound. The Free Fire x Jujutsu Kaisen collaboration has officially begun, and the developers have turned the hottest drop zone into a Sorcery training ground.

This event runs until February 13, giving us a full month to master the new terrain. But here is the reality: everyone is going to drop Peak today. The lobbies are going to be chaotic, sweaty, and full of Cursed Energy. As a veteran who has survived every map change from the Kaleidoscope update to the flooding of Bermuda, I am here to tell you that fighting at the new Peak requires a completely different strategy. Here is how to survive the transformation and dominate the map.

The New Geometry of Peak: Jujutsu High Analysis

Old Peak was defined by long sightlines and irregular terrain. The new "Jujutsu High" layout changes the geometry entirely. The architecture now resembles the Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School from the anime. This means we are dealing with traditional Japanese architecture: courtyards, wooden corridors, and multi-layered rooftops.

Close-Quarters Combat (CQC) is King

The new structures at Peak are dense. The open fields where you could previously snipe from the billboard are now obstructed by temple walls and training grounds. This shifts the meta heavily toward SMGs and Shotguns.

  • Weapon Recommendation: The MP40 and M1014 are your best friends here. The corridors are narrow. You need weapons that can shred armor instantly around corners.

  • The "Sliding Door" Tactic: Expect new entry points. Unlike the old broken walls, the new buildings likely have specific choke points. Do not rush through the main gate. Look for windows or broken roof tiles to flank campers who are holding the corridors.

Verticality and Rooftop Control

Jujutsu High buildings are famous for their sloping tiled roofs. In Free Fire, this provides excellent high ground, but it comes with a risk. The tiles offer little cover compared to the concrete blocks of the old Peak.

  • Strategy: If you hold the roof, you control the courtyard. However, you are exposed to snipers from the surrounding hills (like the ridge near the Bimasakti Strip). Use Gloo Walls to create artificial cover on the sloping roofs. If you slide down, do it backward so your pan protects you from shots.

The Mechanic: Absorbing Cursed Energy

The event description explicitly invites us to "absorb cursed energy all over the map." This is the core gameplay mechanic for this month. Based on the event launch, "Cursed Energy" manifests as glowing purple orbs or tokens scattered across Bermuda, with a massive concentration at the new Peak.

What Does Cursed Energy Do?

Collecting this energy is crucial. It likely powers up a match-specific meter that grants buffs. In previous events, this has meant:

  1. Speed Boost: Essential for rotating out of Peak when the zone closes.

  2. EP Regeneration: Converts to HP, allowing you to survive the blue zone longer.

  3. Event Shop Currency: The most important aspect. You need these tokens to exchange for the free rewards in the event interface.

The "Vacuum" Rotation Strategy

Most players will fight at Peak. Smart players will fight around Peak. The "Vacuum" strategy involves dropping at a satellite location like the Clock Tower or Pochinok, looting up, and then rotating into Peak as the first zone closes.

By this time, the initial bloodbath is over. The survivors at the Jujutsu High compound will be low on meds and ammo. You go in fresh, absorb the Cursed Energy from their death boxes, and take the high ground.

Economic Strategy: Gear Up Like a Sorcerer

While mastering the map is free, looking the part costs Diamonds. The new Gojo and Sukuna bundles are the highlight of this update, and they look particularly menacing against the backdrop of the new Jujutsu High architecture. However, spinning for these mythic sets can get expensive if you rely on the standard in-game store.

For those of you looking to save money while building your collection, you should Google search for "buffget". It is a platform used by many top-tier players to buy cheap Free Fire Diamonds. By using buffget, you get a secure transaction with a flat 20% discount compared to regular prices, and the delivery is incredibly fast. This is the smartest way to stretch your budget, ensuring you have enough ammo for the Faded Wheel spins to get that Satoru Gojo blindfold.

Defending the "School": Squad Tactics

If you are playing Squad Ranked, the new Peak is the ultimate fortress. If the zone pulls center (which it often does), holding the main Jujutsu High building is a guaranteed ticket to the final circle.

The 2-2 Split Defense

Do not stack four players in one room. One grenade will wipe you.

  • Team A (The Roof Team): Two players with marksman rifles (Woodpecker/AC8) hold the roof. They spot incoming vehicles and break Gloo Walls.

  • Team B (The Gatekeepers): Two players with shotguns hold the ground floor entrances. They stop rushers from entering the building.

The "Domain Expansion" Trap

Use the new layout to create kill zones. The courtyards are open areas surrounded by buildings. This is a "kill box."

  • Bait: Leave some high-tier loot (like a Level 3 Vest) in the middle of the courtyard.

  • Ambush: Hide in the surrounding corridors. When an enemy squad runs in to loot, open fire from all sides. They will have nowhere to run.

Adapting to the "Sorcery" Meta

The transformation of Peak affects the entire flow of the Bermuda map. Rotations are now slower because players spend more time fighting in the complex geometry of the new compound.

Vehicle usage changes:

You can no longer drive a Monster Truck straight through Peak. The walls and obstacles of the Jujutsu High style buildings block vehicle paths. You have to drive around the complex. This makes the roads leading to Bimasakti and Kotatua much more dangerous as they become bottlenecks. Set up ambushes here.

Character Skills for the New Peak:

  • Wukong: With the complex terrain and bushes around the school, Wukong is S-tier again. You can transform into a bush in the courtyard to surprise enemies.

  • Nairi: Since there is plenty of hard cover (buildings), enemies will use Gloo Walls to bridge the gaps. Nairi allows you to destroy their walls faster, leaving them exposed in the courtyard.

Final Thoughts on the Update

The holidays are officially in the rearview mirror. We have wrapped up the season of #FelicesFiestas2025, and the festive trees have been replaced by Cursed Objects. The vibe has shifted from celebration to survival.

This map update is one of the most ambitious Garena has done. It refreshes the stale mid-game of Bermuda. Peak has been the same for too long; this "Jujutsu High" makeover breathes new life into the center of the map. The verticality, the aesthetic, and the intense CQC fights make every drop exciting.

Remember, the event ends on February 13. You have one month to memorize every corner of the new building, every jump spot on the roof, and every hiding place in the corridor. Do not waste this time.

Get your squad together, stock up on diamonds via buffget, and drop into Bermuda. Absorbing the Cursed Energy isn't just a mission; it's the only way to win. Put your enemies to #DulcesSueños and claim the Booyah at the top of the Sorcery High School.

See you in the courtyard.
