The trauma itself becomes sacred. It can't be questioned, doubted, or criticized. Members feel morally obligated to protect it. If someone inside starts doubting, they risk losing the deep bonds formed by shared suffering. This dynamic makes the group self-enforcing, emotionally intense, and resistant to outside perspectives or internal criticism, exactly like a cult.
