If you read the modern “repair” projects as a spiritual drama, the key move is not just “atheism.” It is counterfeit redemption story.

If you are a Christian, you already get Satan’s long game. He prefers concealment and deception. He hides his presence while eclipsing Christ. Here, he does it by offering a counter gospel that sounds like “light” precisely because it denies any personal devil or evil creator. Evil is relocated into “the system” as the total explanation, and salvation is recoded as human repair. The repair is itself inverted. It baptizes destruction as restoration, and it invites human beings to become like God as world-remakers.

Scripture describes the method plainly. The adversary deceives, disguises himself as an angel of light, and works by schemes.
The left framing functions as the concealment device for the Devil. There is no demiurge, no fallen angel behind the world, and no exit from the material order. The telos is not deliverance from the world but immanent repair through reconstruction. Causality is displaced into “the system,” not as a creator, but as the final explanation. Within this “counter gospel,” the world is bent because of capitalism, patriarchy, whiteness, enclosure, colonialism. Evil is externalized into structures. Salvation is also inverted downward because it becomes a program of negation of the material. Tear down the false order, and the real human world will appear.

That is how the devil hides in plain sight. He is never named because the left framed diagnosis has been built to make him unnecessary. The enemy is no longer sin, pride, and rebellion against God (for them, God does not read as a Christian God). The enemy is the world as it is, read as a constructed order. The elect are not sinners in need of grace. They are diagnosticians of harm operating through an inverted worldview and therefore compelled to “repair” reality. For the left then, “trauma” becomes a truth signal. Diagnosis becomes jurisdiction. The elect claim standing to remake the world. That is theurgy. Identify the wound. Name the husk. Claim insight. Perform repair. To help a “God,” as they define it, repair what was broken and restore wholeness.

Conversely, Christianity locates repair in God’s action. Christ redeems. The human posture is humility, repentance, obedience, and charity. Suffering can sanctify, but it does not confer authority.
The counter gospel flips that posture in two ways. Ontological inversion makes harm the highest proof. Teleological inversion makes negation the road to wholeness. In that frame, what looks like repair comes out as sanctioned destruction, carried out by people who imagine themselves as co-redeemers of creation even as they subvert creation’s given order. The trick is that the devil disappears from the story, so the story can do his work.
