A December Date and a Three-Year-Old Phone

Silver Palace finally has a date: December 14, worldwide, on PC, PlayStation 5 and phones at the same time. It is an Unreal Engine 5 game, and that is the part I keep thinking about.

I do not review trailers. I review what happens forty minutes in, on a mid-range Android that is already three years old. Here the evening sits at thirty-three degrees and the phone has no air-conditioned room to hide in. Engine-level lighting is exactly what turns a beautiful demo into a slideshow once the thermal budget runs out.

So I will read the device requirements before I read the pre-order page. One preset and a promise means waiting for the second patch.
