Hi. This is my original story.

This is a new school. The kids do not hear about you or know you in person (except one).

You should not expect a kid to hug you in the middle of nowhere.

You should not expect a kid to call you Miss in the middle of the corridor.

You should not expect a kid to wave instead of nod at you in the stairs.

Then, what should you expect as a newbie in a new teaching environment?

I expect a bigger campus.

I expect respect from students and colleagues.

I expect a 21st century teaching schedule, teaching philosophy and teaching style.

Well, sometimes expectation lead to disappointment. So how should I find my spot?

You may be a teacher, but behind the title is just an ordinary human with love and care.

Knowledge is not the key; the key is to live gracefully.

So dear new mama, new babysitter, new teacher,

" To thine own self be true."

Live gracefully with true respect to the Lord, the others and yourself.
